SHE Award 2025 Celebrates “Her Power”, 66 Women Honoured for Leadership and Impact

KUALA LUMPUR, 31 October 2025 — The ShangHai Honourable Women Entrepreneur Business Award (SHE) 2025, organised by ShangHai Business Media, took centre stage at the Mandarin Oriental Kuala Lumpur, celebrating the strength, compassion, and innovation of women who continue to shape Malaysia’s business and social landscape.

Held under the theme “Supporting Women · Building Futures”, the annual gala coincided with Pink October, a global movement promoting breast cancer awareness and women’s health. In partnership with the National Cancer Society of Malaysia (NCSM), the event underscored the importance of early detection, care, and empowerment through solidarity and compassion.

Celebrating Women Who Lead and Inspire

Following the success of its previous editions, SHE Award 2025 once again recognised women who have demonstrated exceptional leadership, innovation, and community impact across diverse industries. Bathed in elegant shades of pink, symbolising hope, resilience, and unity, the evening was more than an award ceremony; it was a celebration of womanhood and collective empowerment.

The event was graced by YB Teresa Kok, Member of Parliament for Seputeh and Deputy Chairperson of the Public Accounts Committee (PAC), as Guest of Honour, alongside a distinguished lineup of industry leaders, including:

Datin Dr. Cherlin Cheah, CEO of ShangHai Media; Mr. CM Wong and Ms. Elaine Piah, Founders of SBS Nexus Berhad; Dato’ Alfred Soh, Managing Director of Felement Group; Dato’ Joseph Lim, President of Malaysia Pioneer Entrepreneur Association; Ms. Angie Ng, Founder of EJS Jewels; Mentor Jo, Founder and Chief Coach of Million Dollar CEO; and Dato’ Dr. Saunthari Somasundaram, President of NCSM.

Empowering Voices and Inspiring Messages

In her opening remarks, Datin Dr. Cherlin Cheah highlighted women’s pivotal roles in innovation and leadership:

“Women bring a unique combination of wisdom, innovation, and leadership. Their contributions are essential in shaping a more prosperous and sustainable future for all.”

YB Teresa Kok echoed the theme of solidarity in her keynote address:

“Women must continue to lead with courage and support one another. When women rise together, their collective strength becomes a powerful force that can truly change the world.”

Pink October Collaboration: Awareness with Purpose

In conjunction with Pink October, the event featured a charity initiative to raise awareness of breast cancer prevention and recovery.

Dato’ Dr. Saunthari Somasundaram of NCSM reminded guests of the importance of empathy and continuous care for survivors.

A fashion showcase by Panache Tailoring Sdn. Bhd. spotlighted women’s empowerment through confidence and style, while a “Wig Donation Campaign” was launched to help cancer survivors rebuild self-esteem and confidence through community support.

Honouring 66 Inspiring Women Entrepreneurs

This year, 66 women entrepreneurs were honoured after a transparent judging process audited by Baker Tilly Malaysia, with final endorsement from a professional jury panel comprising Ms. Angie Ng, Mentor Jo, and Dato’ Joseph Lim.

Among the recipients were Tengku Norhanim binti Tengku Othman (NIMS Adeliciousz Sdn. Bhd.), Catherine Goh (Santan Food Services Sdn. Bhd.), and Nicole Lim (Empire Sushi Sdn. Bhd.), each exemplifying excellence in entrepreneurship and leadership.

Special recognitions included:

  • International Distinguished Women Influence AwardPuan Sri Nisa Bakri (NISA Holdings Sdn. Bhd.), for visionary leadership and global impact.

  • Leading Lady CEO Excellence AwardDatuk Nuraslina binti Zainal Abidin (THETA Edge Berhad), for corporate leadership and innovation.
