Malaysian Actress Anna Jobling Wins Outstanding Asian Star Award At Seoul International Drama Awards

KUALA LUMPUR, 3 October 2025 – Malaysian actress and former model Anna Jobling has achieved a historic milestone by winning the Outstanding Asian Star award at the 20th Seoul International Drama Awards (SDA) 2025.

The 25 year old rising star was recognized for her breakout role as Cahaya, a single mother, in the 28 episode TV3 drama series, Hai Cinta, Dengarkanlah! (Dear Love, Listen!).

The SDA ceremony, held at the KBS Hall in Yeouido, Seoul, South Korea, yesterday evening (October 2), honored several prominent Asian talents.

Jobling also shares the category win with other acclaimed stars, including Jisoo of the K-pop group Blackpink, Filipino actor Daniel Padilla, Thai actress ‘Film’ Rachanun Mahawan, and South Korean actor Kim Seon Ho.

The Outstanding Asian Star award for Anna Jobling is a huge boost to her career. This international prize will immediately make her more visible, likely leading to better roles in big projects across Asia and even on global platforms like streaming services.

More importantly, her success at the Seoul International Drama Awards is a win for Malaysian entertainment itself. It clearly shows that local actors and drama productions can compete with the best in the region.

This recognition is expected to draw more international eyes and business to Malaysia’s film and television industry.
